The Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 1033 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) under STPGT 2025 for classes XI–XII. Interested and eligible candidates who are permanent residents of Tripura can apply online from 29th April 2025 to 15th September 2025.

Subject-Wise Vacancy for Tripura PGT2025
The vacancies are announced subject-wise and category-wise as per government rules. A total of 91 vacancies are available. Below are some key subject allocations:

Eligibility Criteria PGT
Educational Qualification TRBT PGT:
Candidates must have the following:
Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject (or allied subject approved by the Equivalence Committee) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH).
B.Ed. A degree from a recognized university approved by NCTE.
Age Limit:
Maximum: 40 years as of 1st March 2025.
Relaxation:
SC/ST/PH candidates: +5 years
Ex-Servicemen: As per norms
Government employees (SC/ST/PH): General 5 years + Category relaxation not applicable.
Salary / Pay Scale for TRBT PGT
Selected candidates will receive a fixed pay of ₹26,015 per month, which is 75% of the basic pay (Level-10) under the Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018.

Selection Procedure
The selection will be based on the Selection Test for Postgraduate Teachers (STPGT) 2025.
Written Test: 150 Marks
Qualifying Marks:
UR: 50% (75 out of 150)
SC/ST/PH: 45% (68 out of 150)
Candidates securing the cutoff will be called for document verification. Final selection will be based purely on merit marks in the test and subject to verification of eligibility documents.
