If you are preparing for government jobs in Tripura, one of the most important steps is to know the vacancy trends of the last five years. Below, I have shown you the last 5 years’ vacancy details category-wise.
One thing that strikes in my mind is that the vacancy for the SC category is very less. UR category is also been suffering from issues for many years, and now the SC category is going to face the same issue in the near future.
This guide covers the TPSC (Tripura Public Service Commission), NHM Tripura (National Health Mission), TRBT (Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura), and JRBT (Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura). You will get year-wise and category-wise (UR, ST, SC) vacancy data, along with details of regular, contractual, and fixed pay posts.
First, about categories in Tripura
In Tripura state recruitment, posts are categorized as UR / ST / SC (and in recent years, EWS).
OBC reservation is not operated for Tripura State services; the state itself notes reservation for SC 17% & ST 31% and says OBC reservation isn’t provided “due to legal obligation,” and the High Court has recorded that Tripura does not have OBC reservation in state jobs

My Point of view
I have compiled a list of vacancies from the last five years. If you notice, the government never implemented the policy of reservation, such as 52% for UR, 17% for SC, and 31% for ST. If you check the numbers, you can see that only the ST category is getting special reservations, which is above what the law allows.
