The TPSC revenue inspector is a great position to start your career. TPSC will conduct this examination in a phased manner. In total, three phases must be cleared to get on the final merit list.
- Preliminary Examination ( Screening Test)
- Main Examination
- Interview.
In this article, we will discuss and share a plan on how to clear the TPSC Revenue Inspector exam in 20 days. Go through this and apply it from today, and I hope you will get through it.
Time left for the Prelim exam for a revenue inspector
From today, we have only 20 days for our preparation.
Our main focus is to first clear the prelim exam. Many students will try to cover the main syllabus in this period. But my strict suggestion is to only focus on prelims.
For mains, you will get time to prepare. The TPSC exam process is very slow, so don’t worry about the time to prepare for the mains.
If you are average in your studies, you can clear prelims in your first attempt if you follow my guidance.
Syllabus for Revenue Inspector Exam- Prelims
Prelims examination is comparatively easy to crack. With serious studies, one can easily clear this stage. The preliminary examination details are-
- Preliminary Examination ( Screening Test ).
- Paper: General Studies and Arithmetic (Pattern- MCQ )
- Full Marks-100
- Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
SL NO | Syllabus | Marks |
---|---|---|
1 | English Composition ( H.S. +2 stage Standard) | 20 |
2 | General Knowledge with special reference to Tripura and North-Eastern States | 20 |
3 | Current Affairs of Local, National, and International Importance | 15 |
4 | Constitution of India with special reference to Panchayat Raj and Urban Local Bodies | 15 |
5 | Simple Arithmetic ( Madhyamik Standard ) | 15 |
6 | Mental Ability Test | 15 |
This is the syllabus for prelims. With 20 marks, English and GK carry the maximum sectional marks. For this stage, don’t read in depth. Just practice MCQ as much as you can.
Study Material
As you can see in the syllabus, English and general knowledge carry the highest marks, and also keep in mind that this subject is also common for the main examination. So, you have to study these subjects in depth because they will also help you in the mains.
Current Affairs of Local, National, and International Importance
For this section, I will suggest studying the Adda 24*7 monthly current affairs PDF. You can get this PDF free of cost from their website. Their monthly current affairs are short compared to other monthly PDF compilations.
It is better to prepare for the last 1 year of current affairs. But if you have not studied any news at all, try to read the last 3 months of current affairs.
For current affairs related to Tripura and the Northeast, read the latest news.
English Composition ( H.S. +2 stage Standard), Reasoning, Quant
Don’t try to read the grammar from scratch. Just practice MCQs as much as you can. For the source, you can download the PYQ of the SSC CGL prelims question. Try to practice for at least the last 5 years.
For reasoning and quant, follow the same formula of practicing MCQ. As we have only 20 days left, studying from the basics won’t help. Practice questions as much as you can.
Also, for reasoning and quant, I will suggest you practice TPSC PYQ MCQ for different exams. I am telling you this because TPSC usually follows a similar pattern of asking questions. So, it will help you to understand the question pattern.
General Knowledge with special reference to Tripura and the North-Eastern States
Don’t study any specific GK for the national level, as it will be covered in your current affairs section. For Tripura and the Northeast, we have to study separate books.
Constitution of India
This section of the syllabus is the hardest one to complete in 20 days. If you have never studied anything from this section, try to read the
- The annual financial statement section of the constitution
- Revenue
- Elecetion
- Fundamental rights
- Panchayat Raj and Urban
Local Bodies
This is the shortest way to prepare for this exam. If you follow the steps, you will get through the prelims. Be specific and don’t try to get notes from different sources. Focus on one thing. Don’t read new things. Practice MCQs as much as you can. This is the key to clearing this examination.
Conclusion
So, we have only 20 days and we ned to divide our daily hours in such a way that we should cover all the subjects daily and do at least one full-length mock test. By doing this, we will not only cover the syllabus but also increase our accuracy level. Time is very limited, so we have to study extra hours to get through it. With our previous knowledge and hard work, we will surely go through the TPSC prelims.
